Allow us to introduce the concept of revisions and walk you through the workflow in Archicad. 

Revisions are modifications or adjustments to progress toward the final design. During the course of an Archicad project, you will no doubt issue several sets of layouts at different times in parallel to your client's request. Between each such issue, the model changes, and so do the layouts. Revision Management helps the users keep track of these changes along with layout revisions and transmittal sets.
